This woodwind trio (fl. cl. bsn.) was inspired by a family trip to the mountains of Northern New Mexico, especially the Valles Caldera National Preserve and Bandelier National Monument near Los Alamos.
Mountains on All Sides was premiered by my trio, the Elicio Winds in Spring of 2025 for a Chamber Music Amarillo concert.
This version is identical to the original, but with Clarinet in B-flat substituted for oboe.
